I have a new found appreciation for the fact that we can drive from the north of England to the South West in about 6 hours. That’s the bonus of living in such a small country.
Jimmy had been feeling a bit deprived of good photo opportunities since being back in Newastle, so we decided to make a trip to Stonehenge (which is why there’s been a lack of updates for the past few days) (more of Stonehenge on Monday) .
To break up the drive we headed to Gloucester Cathedral for a couple of hours pit stop.
We passed lots of pretty countryside on the drive there.
And ate tasty food. It wouldn’t be a proper car journey without food documentation!
I started with a salad because I knew there’d be unhealthy food to come. In it I had lots of spinach, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, carrots and peppers and a good helping of jalapeno houmous.
A while later I had a ham, spinach and coleslaw sandwich. I’ve decided I definitely don’t like coleslaw.
It was beautiful on the outside and just amazing on the inside.
(Do you recognise this? It was in some Harry Potter films!)
I love the gothic style architecture.
Taking photograph, that is. He’s not praying.
These are some other shots from different places in the cathedral.
